KEEPING THE SISTERHOOD ALIVE/ FRIENDS IN CHRIST 💖

Today, a thought came to mind. How important are the awesome Christian women we have as friends. Sisters, we need each other. It’s so easy to get tied up in life and life’s circumstances. We are busy being in the ministry, being a wife, and our careers. I get it. There are days I am the queen hot mess express. Gods word encourages us to have friendships with the women who uplift each other in Christ. LADIES, IF YOUR SISTER IN CHRIST IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING INSTEAD OF CONDEMNING HER UPLIFT HER. That’s what we are here for. There’s so many people who are so quick to judge and gossip. Instead of opening your mouth to talk about your sister, open it in prayer. You never know what the people around us are going through. I am thankful for the women in my life that I know are constantly covering me in prayer. These are the women to look up to. Having friends is great but having Christian friends well that’s the bomb. I encourage you this week to send your sister a text, card, whatever, just get in touch with them. Tell them you’re praying for them. Make time for the sisterhood. I hope you have a very blessed day! Thank you so much for reading!

~BEING HIS HELPMATE~

This blog post is for all of the women who are married. My husband and I have only been married a little over a year and I must say it has been the best time of my life. I thought I knew what ” I love you” meant when you are just dating, but I must say it’s different when you are married. Marriage takes the meaning of “I love you” to a whole other level. As a christian wife, it is my desire to always listen to God and what he wants from me as a wife. One of the most important roles as a wife is being your husbands helpmate. Many women when they hear this get frustrated thinking this makes you less than your husband, but in fact being his helper is such a big job. I do believe the husband is the leader, but husband and wife are created equal. You are not below or above your husband, you are there to stand right beside him. Here are a few ways to be your husbands helpmate..

  • PRAY FOR YOUR HUSBAND: Ladies, if you are not covering your husband in prayer who is? Pray for him. He has a lot on his plate. He needs your prayers.
  • CREATE A WELCOMING PLACE FOR HIM TO COME HOME TO: You never know what kind of day your husband had at work, instead of nagging about the clothes not being in the hamper, ask how his day was over supper.

My eyes have just recently been opened to these things. Sometimes it is easy to get upset when he leaves his socks laying all around the house or doesn’t take out the trash. I get it ladies.. But, then I had a thought come to mind. I get to do these things for him and I know he appreciates it. Christ should be our example of loving others especially our husbands. Marriage is an ongoing, vivid illustration of what it costs to love an imperfect person unconditionally the same way that Christ has loved us. Love your husbands, honor your husbands. Pray for him. Above all keep God at the center of your marriage. ” “A chord of three strands is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

I encourage you to read this passage today. Thanks for reading my blog! Have a blessed day!! Genesis 2:18-23

~BASIC BREAD RECIPE~

Ingredients

  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 2-1/4 cups warm water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 6-1/4 to 6-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, to form a soft dough.
  • Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 8-10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1-1/2 hours.
  • Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide dough in half. Shape each into a loaf. Place in two greased 9×5-in. loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, 30-45 minutes.
  • Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bread sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.

This is my favorite way to make bread, I did it once and it’s the most simple recipe I have found that tastes delicious. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do. Have a BLESSED day and remember Jesus LOVES you.

~Faith>Fear~

What is Faith?

Faith: Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

What is Fear?

Fear: A feeling of anxiety concerning the outcome of something or the safety and well-being of someone.

God never gave us the spirit of fear, that is completely a work of the enemy. Fear seems to always rise up when we imagine that everything depends on us and not God. Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations that scare us or make us want to try to depend on just us to fix it, but in reality that is Gods job. We were not created to fight our battles on our own. I myself have found myself in situations where I had so much fear that doubt started to creep in. It’s so important to get rid of those negative emotions. No matter the situation Faith will always take over fear when we put our FULL trust in the lord. No, not half.. OUR FULL TRUST.  Today, decide to shift your thinking and bridge the gap in your life between your Faith and your Fear. If you are like me, I am tired of the “what ifs” in my life. We have to get to the place where we fully trust the lord . What would happen if the “what ifs” in your life got changed to “even if?” If we would change our thinking we could turn our whole life around. Today, I choose Faith and I hope you do the same. Fear is a liar. Thank you so much for reading this blog. I hope it touched your heart as it did mine. Have a BLESSED day!!

~Being a Proverbs 31 kind of woman~

Many of you may ask what is a Proverbs 31 woman? Or, what makes this Proverbs 31 woman so special?

Women of God should never be like the women of the world. The world has enough tough women, we need more tender hearted women. There are plenty of course women, we need women who are kind. Rather than fame and fortune, we need women of FAITH!

GENEROUS• 2 Corinthians 9:11

TENDER HEARTED• Proverbs 17:22

MODEST• Proverbs 7:10

CONFIDENT• Philippians 3:3

WISE• Proverbs 31:26

DEPENDS ON GOD• Matthew 4:4

TRUTH SPEAKER• Ephesians 4:15

Ladies, God never created us to turn heads but to instead turn hearts. The woman who helps win souls for the kingdom is wise. Strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman, in order to attract an Ephesians 5 kind of man, so that one day you both can create a Corinthians 13 kind of love. ❤️

I challenge you today to read the scriptures I posted above and ask yourself if you see these characteristics in you. Walk today knowing you are his beloved, and a MIGHTY woman of God!

•My Life•

Hello, everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog. It’s a very exciting day seeing that this is my first official post. Since it is the first, I figured I would make this one an all about me post and tell you some of the key things in my life. My name is Caitlynn Mills but everyone calls me Catie. I’m twenty years old . I’ve been married to the man God gave me since July 1, 2017. The church I attend is located in Lowmansville, KY and it is called Gracepointe. My father is my pastor. Speaking of my dad he has a book that he has recently wrote that will be published soon, if I can get the link to the book it will be posted on here. I am a children’s church teacher and I absolutely love all of my church babies like my own. There’s just something about watching the children grow and learn more about Jesus that warms my heart.

I’m a dog owner to a maltishi named Oliver and he is very rotten. I work at a bank in my town as a part time teller, I love my job and all the wonderful ladies that I work with. My absolute favorite season of the year is FALL and as we all know it’s approaching fast and I am so excited! There’s nothing better than the pumpkin spice lattes, crisp leaves, and of course all of the beautiful colors. Stay tuned cause I will be posting some of my favorite fall recipes in the next coming blog posts.

I created this blog to inspire others and to share the love I have for the things I enjoy. I’m a dedicated coffee and sweet tea drinker. By coffee I mean a lot of sugar and French vanilla creamer and just a little bit of coffee haha. I’m also a sister to a sixteen year old football lovin’ boy. We always love attending bubs games and cheering for him while he is doing the thing he enjoys most. I know he will make it big one day. My favorite vacation spot is Pigeon Forge, TN. My hubby and I had our honey moon there and went to the Ripley’s Aquarium, which was our favorite attraction. Also, if you ever go make sure you check out the apple barn. Their cold apple sider and apple fritters are the bomb.

My prayer for this blog is that I can shine my light to everyone who reads these posts. To spread the love of Jesus. I want to thank each of you for tuning in, I know you had a choice. You could be doing anything you want, but you chose to read this. I appreciate you. Walk today with your shoulders back knowing you are LOVED, WORTHY, A CHILD OF GOD, and A WORLD CHANGER. Have a blessed day. ❤️
